I am Paul Morris and these are my paintings, drawings and smaller works on paper. You will find them nostalgia tinged, reflecting my experiences through life. Each piece has its own narrative, each with its own secrets.
My formal training was at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, Scotland. I studied there from 1987 to 1990, during which time my paintings were exhibited at The Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh and The Compass Gallery in Glasgow, among other places. I am currently exhibiting in Cannes, Nice and Berlin.
After art college I worked in the print industry for a time and, following a spell in the wine industry, I spent 11 years working as a graphic designer. You will see that experience has had strong influence on the look of my new work.
I returned to painting and drawing in early 2010, and the first fruits of my endeavours are, largely, what you see here.
I hope you enjoy looking through my work. Please contact me if you have any questions or, particularly, if you are interested in buying any of the pieces shown here.
